A session on the development of rebar, organized by Novostal-M Holding, was held at the Metal Expo 2024 exhibition.

The event was attended by all major Russian rebar manufacturers as well as scientists and representatives of standardization.

The participants presented several reports at the session. The first was on the topic of new products, R&D initiatives and customer services of Novostal-M Holding. The second report touched upon the possibility of implementing Statbim IT complexes for long-term quality control of rebar, taking into account the development of BIM technologies and life cycle calculations of buildings. The topic caused a heated discussion among specialists.

The experts also considered the issues of approving a new GOST for rolled products of classes A550 and A650, as well as options for updating GOST 34028 aimed at the main mass types of rebar.
